Marcil, Roméo- March 1919-January 2020. Passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on January 11th, 2020 at 100 years of age. Cherished father of Estelle Coleman (Larry). Predeceased by his beloved wife, Annette (Bourdon) Marcil and his cherished son, Gaëtan Marcil (Connie). Loved and devoted Grand-papa to Lisa (Lucas), Sara (late Mike), Ryan, and Kristen (Patrick). Very proud arrière grand-papa to his nine beautiful great-grandchildren, Mia, Cayden, Carter, Sam, Isabella, Katelyn, Rya, Koen and Wes. Survived by his very loved sister, Lina Pelletier, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Alexina and Omer Marcil, as well as his siblings, Georges, Emile, Valéda (Latour), Juliette (Desjardins), Berthe (Desjardins), Alcide, Lucien, Annette (Godard) and Rita (Moon). Special gratitude to Dr. Lepage for her amazing kindness, compassion and excellent care. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Monday from 9:30-10:30am. Funeral Mass on Monday January 20, 2020 at 11am at Ste-Thérèse-de-Lisieux Church. Cremation to follow. Rite of Committal, at Notre Dame Cemetery Cemetery, at a later date.
