After a long and courageous battle to stay alive despite his multiple illnesses, the patriarch of our family has passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years Jean (2017), he leaves to mourn his six children that he was immensely proud of: Jo-Ann Trottier (Jacques), Sonny Ménard (Louise), Debra-Lynn Ménard, Penny Décoste (Jacques), Vicki Rozon (Michel) and Kim Ménard (Aaron Pincus). The light of Dad’s life were his seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and three step grandchildren. They are Josée Trottier-Turcotte (Brad), Joël Trottier (Chloe), Amy Paré (Stephane), Jean-François Ménard (Nicole), Josh Décoste (Jennifer), Dominique Décoste-Lauzon (Dan), Pat Décoste (Amanda). Great grandchildren: Mackenzie Turcotte, Dylan Turcotte, Tyson Trottier, Ophilia Paré, Camille Ménard, Halle Ménard, Korine Décoste, Gracie Décoste, Matis Lauzon, Mia Lauzon, Dakota Décoste, Nash Décoste, and Vince Décoste. Three step grandchildren: Brook, Alexi, and Maeve.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
