It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ronnie Jack Mills on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband for 52 years of Sharon Mills (née Martin-Cooper). Loving father of Gary Cooper (Karen) of Long Sault, Janice Malette (Dan) of Williamstown and Pamela Mills-Thompson (Michael) of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Ronnie Cooper (Katie), Nathon Cooper (Shanyn), James Cooper (Katie), Chelsea Leroux (Andrew), Daniel Malette (Christine), Martine Malette, Taylor Mills-Thompson (Sarah), Tianna Mills-Thompson (Riece), Jaymne Mills-Thompson and great-grandfather of Cannon, Connor, Annie, Aubrie, Robbie, Noah, Owen, Liam, Abigail and Elliot Ronnie arriving shortly. Chosen grandfather of Jasmine O’Quinn. Dear brother of Heather Mills and Donna Hanley (John) both of Avonmore, ON. Special uncle of Carlin Pethke and Kerri-Ann Mainville. Ronnie will be sadly missed by his friends and all who knew him. He is predeceased by his parents: Earl Mills and Betty Mills (née McMillan). As per Ronnie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in Martin’s Anglican Cemetery in Avonmore at 2 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the OSPCA or Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
