Roy Kenneth Casperson

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 6, 2021 at the age of 84 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He joins his loving wife Margaret who predeceased him 17 years earlier.

Roy, a charming, gentle and much loved father, leaves behind his children Derek, Tanya, Craig, and Colin; their spouses Mary, Wenran, and Tracy; six grandchildren Ashley, Christina, Hadrian, Tristan, Paige, and Mason; his sister Doris and brothers Keith and Art. He was preceded in death by his daughter Roxanne, his sister Bodil and two brothers, Johny and Ralph.

Roy was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, on July 26, 1937 to Anna and Ole Casperson. He spent much of his youth in Vancouver, graduating from UBC in civil engineering. As a young man he loved and excelled at wrestling. Later in life, he spent many hours windsurfing and snorkeling in warm tropical waters. His sense of adventure also extended to working abroad. From 1976 to 1984, Roy, with his family, worked and lived in Turkey, Argentina, and Indonesia. In 1987, Roy, Margaret, and Colin moved to Cornwall, Ontario, where he worked as an engineer til retirement.

Cremation preceded a celebration of life, which will be held at a later date.
