Ruby Winters (nee Fetterley) of R.R.# 1 Chesterville passed away peacefully at Le Pavillon Retirement Residence in Embrun on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Morley Winters. Loved daughter of the late James and Mary Fetterley (nee Gillespie). Loving mother of Judy Harding (Milton) of Prescott, Brenda Doornwaard (Bill) of Winchester, Sheila van Rens (Gerry) of Metcalfe, Steven, Donald and Douglas Winters, all of Chesterville. Cherished grandmother of Emily Melenhorst (Kevin), Shane Harding (Chelsey), Angela Doornwaard (James Jordan), Ian Harding (Alexia) and Bryan van Rens. Great-grandmother of Layla and Keira Melenhorst, Cameron Harding, Elizabeth Harding and Orson Jordan. Dear cousin of Wylda Locke (nee Crites). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Garnet and Grant Fetterley.

Ruby was a quiet, selfless person who was dedicated to her family. She was an extremely hard worker who had a practical approach to life and she saw the funny side of things too. Due to Covid restrictions a private family funeral service will be held at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Chesterville. Interment of cremated remains will be at Grantley Cemetery. Donations to Winchester Hospital or Grantley cemetery would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
