Peacefully on May 31st, 2021 at Maxville Manor, Maxville, Ontario in her 99th year.
Lovingly remembered by her nephews and nieces especially her godson Richard (Darlene) and her caregivers Robert (Suzanne); and by her Religious Community, the Sisters of the Precious Blood. Sister Mary Benedicta was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amanda (nee Julien) O’Byrne. She was predeceased by her two brothers: Herman and Daniel O’Byrne and her three sisters: Beatrice Kyer, her twin sister Florestine Lauzon, and Jennie Belmore.
The Mass of Christian Burial with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Basilica on Thursday, June 17th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation. She will then be buried in St. Finnan’s Cemetery in the Precious Blood Sisters’ plot.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, attendance at the funeral will be limited.
