Stephen Ernest Rombough

27 April, 1952 – 6 August, 2021

Suddenly, on Friday, August 6, 2021. Beloved husband of Giselle (née Lecompte) who he adored and loved unconditionally. Loving and very proud father of Jesse (Jennifer) and Melissa (Jason). Cherished grandfather (Gampy) to Olivia, his pride and joy. Very dear brother of Diane McGillis (late John) and brother-in-law to Rachelle Martin (Mark) and Andre Lecompte (Shannon). Very best friend and music brother to Rod Robillard. Great son-in-law to Albert Lecompte (late Irene). Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid Rombough and Audrey (née Raymond). Steve will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a gentle and humble man with a great sense of humour and a profound passion for music. He lit up the room the minute he picked up a microphone and took to the stage. He was a legend to many. His voice was passionately loved for his talent of singing Joe Cocker songs. He was a songwriter, musician, singer and professionally studied music to capture the perfect voice for all musicians and singers. He was a mentor to many who wanted to learn and had a passion for music. His many band members were all family to him. Visitation will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street, West, (613-932-8482) on Thursday, August 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Due to restrictions, a Private Service in memory of Stephen will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, August 13 at 2 p.m., by invitation.
