Peacefully and on her own terms, while surrounded by family on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the age of 65. Beloved wife and soul mate of Johannes “John” van den Oetelaar (February 9, 2017). Loving mother of Fanny van den Oetelaar (Vincent-Gabriel), Julien van den Oetelaar (Elysa Brunet) and the late Martin van den Oetelaar. Proud grandmother of Julianne Brunet, Maryssa van den Oetelaar and Peter van den Oetelaar. Dear daughter of the late Roger and Thérèse (née Lindsey) Gravel. Dear sister of Micheline Larocque (Marcel), Julie Montpetit (Fern), the late Raymond Gravel, the late Gilbert Gravel (Diane Deschambeau), the late Robert Gravel and the late Lorraine Currier (Eric). Sylvie will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews; the van den Oetelaar family, her nursing colleagues and patients; and by her close friends. A private visitation and funeral will be held at a later date.
