LAZETTE, Theresa Mary (nee Casey) – passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph’s Villa on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the age of 98 years. Loving wife of the late Garnet Lazette (1986). Beloved mother of Jean Gervais (Roger), Mary Kennedy (Robert), Neil, all of Cornwall, Alvin of St. Andrews West, Karl (Theresa Javier) of Kingston and Mark of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by Bain January 2020. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Michel, Lisa and Julie Gervais, Stephen Lazette, Jason Kennedy, Tracy Gray, Krista Benes (Kris), Alex and Adam Lazette, Ashley Saunders (Tim), Kevin Lazette and her great grandchildren Sophia, Gabrielle, Isabella, Nyla, Henry, Simon and Kyle. Dear sister of Mary St. Croix (late Simon) and Edna Theriault (late Al). Predeceased by her parents Albert and Alice Casey (nee Roy). Also predeceased by sisters Stella Palmater (John), Margaret Lemieux (Bill), Mabel Kennedy (Larry) and brothers Henry (Lucy), Albert and Ambrose (Verny). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre for the excellent care they gave mom for the past five years especially on Quinn Unit. Thanks to Dr. Patel for his compassionate care and whose very presence could light up her face with the biggest smile. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482). from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th 2020. Funeral will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 for Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Church at 1:30 p.m. Burial to follow at St.Lawrence Valley Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Cancer Society, Alzheimers Society or St. Joseph’s Continuing Care would be appreciated by the family. In accordance with the Provincial Covid-19 regulations, all guests attending the Funeral Service are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing of 6 feet (2 meters).
