Peacefully at Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario on Monday, February 10, 2020. Marie Françoise Thérèse Huot, lifelong resident of Alexandria, ON ; age 91 years. Predeceased by her parents, J. A. Réal Huot and Diana Lalonde, four brothers: Aimé (late Agnes Morrissey), Réal (late Catherine MacDonell), Hubert (late Pauline Thibodeau) and Claude Huot (late Lucille Poulin) and five sisters: Alice Renaud (late Alec), Gabrielle Lowe (late Jim), Agnès Carter (late Marcel) Rev. Sister Simone Huot C.S.C and Rev. Sister Cécile Huot C.S.C.; also predeceased by three nieces and one nephew: Andrée Carter Duhme (late Walter Sr.), Louise Carter-Thériault (Martin), and Paul Renaud (Kathy). Cherished “ma-tante” to 20 nieces and nephews and grand-aunt (great-grand-aunt) to several (great-) grand-nieces and (great-) grand-nephews. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria, on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 am. A reception to follow at La Fraternité Hall, Alexandria. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation, hgmhfoundation.org , would be appreciated by the Huot family. As a memorial to Thérèse, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
