At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Veronica Lajoie (nee Lafave) of Alexandria; age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Conrad Lajoie. Loving mother of Collette Dumont (Norman), Gilles Lajoie (Odette), Monique Lajoie (Claude), and Marcel Lajoie (Debbie) all of Alexandria, Diane Bellefeuille (Ron), Noel Lajoie, and Louise Marleau (late Maurice) companion to Pete Bissonette all of Cornwall, and Alain Lajoie of Toronto. Dear sister of Neil Lafave (Helene) of Kemptville. Predeceased by one son Denis (Carole), brothers Clifford “Bunny” Lafave, Francis Lafave, and Fred Lafave, sisters Mary Leroux, Stella Lafave, and Ida MacDonald. Dear daughter of the late John and Rose Anne Lafave (nee Lapointe). Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 am. Cremation will follow.
