CURRIER, Wayne Charles – of Hamilton Island and Glen Robertson, Ontario, and Seminole, Florida, with family by his side, at the Ottawa General Hospital on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the age of 79 years.

Beloved husband of Aline (née Morin). Loving father of Scott (Carolyn) of Oakville, ON, Grant (Madelaine) of Moncton NB, and Nathan (Tina) of Glen Robertson, ON. Proud Grampa of Brad, James, Ben, Veronica, Steven, Winter, Luca, Charlie, and Ella. Cherished brother of William “Bill” Currier of Flin Flon, MB, Doreen McMillan of Meaford, ON, Howard Currier (Esther) of Woodstock, ON and Eileen Currier. Predeceased by his parents Howard Currier, Marguerite (née MacDonald) and his sisters Arlene Lalonde (Neil) of Glen Walter, ON and Colleen Murphy (the late Bob).

Wayne had a huge heart and will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those who knew and loved him. He was an avid golfer and member of the Cornwall Golf and Country Club for many years. Wayne loved fishing and kayaking on the St. Lawrence River. Wayne attended Cornwall Classical College, Queen’s University and became a CPA. He lived in Toronto and Whitby, ON, before retiring to the summer home on Hamilton Island, and spent his winters at his home in Seminole, Florida.

The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Friday, November 24th from 2pm to 4pm and again on Saturday, November 25th from 8:30am to 10:30am. A funeral and Celebration of Life will follow at Precious Blood Church, Glen Walter, ON, at 11a.m. Internment in the Parish cemetery to follow.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation (www.hgmhfoundation.org) would be appreciated by the family.
