Wayne Alexander MacIntosh at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, Fort McMurray Alberta after a courageous struggle with ALS. Wayne leaves behind his son James and his sister Gail Nowickyj (Michael). Sadly missed by his nephew Shaun Nowickyj (Alissa) and their children Adam, Maeve and Norah. Cherished life long mentor to Ryan Reid of Fort McMurray. Predeceased by his parents Dan and Evelyn MacIntosh (nee Crites). Wayne worked in Edmonton as a QA supervisor for Supercrete Inc. followed by a Civil Engineering Technician job with Stanley Associates Engineering. Wayne was drawn to Fort McMurray in 1984 and found work at a small engineering company called Keith Engineering. In 1988 he started work at the city of Fort McMurray as it was called back then and went on to a very successful career with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo to oversee the start of many infrastructure projects. Wayne had a great sense of humour, always a life learner, mentor and team player. He will be missed by friends, colleagues and especially his family. A visitation was held October 25, 2019 in Fort McMurray followed by a Celebration of Life October 26, 2019. Messages of condolences may be left at: rafser@telus.net
