On Saturday August 14, 2021 age 62 years at his home with his wife by his side. William John Merkley of Lunenburg. Beloved husband of Joan (Amsing) Merkley. Loved father of James Merkley (Jenna) of Cornwall. Cherished son of Lillian Merkley of Merrickville and the late Howard Merkley. sadly missed by his grandchildren Lorne and Rory Dawn. Dear brother of Lee Anne Merkley of Merrickville. Survived by several nieces and nephews. To honor Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service in celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. The honorary pallbearers will be JP Lawson, Jason Lalonde, Marty Gillard, Peter Casselman, Mike Amsing and Terry Kuhn.
