CORNWALL, Ontario – If you’re a true AC/DC fan, then you’ll be excited to know a founding member is taking the stage at La Maison this evening.

“Come along, and we are going to rock,” said Dave Evans, original singer of the world-renowned band from 1973 to 1974.

Before his quick departure from AC/DC, the Australian rocker recorded one single, ‘Can I Sit Next to You Girl?’ penned by Angus and Malcolm Young. The song was later re-recorded by his replacement Bon Scott.

“He is an important part of music history, and now people can experience it in an intimate venue,” said Rodney Rivette, owner of the Cornwall-based music company Rockstar Party hosting the event.

Evans’ musical resume includes Rabbit, The Badasses, The Hot Cockerels, Thunder Down Under, and the Apprentice.

Most recently he collaborated with former Alice Cooper guitarist John Nitzinger to produce the album Revenge in 2013, and in 2014, he released an EP length album that was nominated for two UK Music Industry awards.

AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck will be opening the concert. Doors open at 9 p.m.

There will also be a meet and greet with Evans after the show.

Tickets are $30 at the door.
