CORNWALL, Ontario – Every numbered ball rolling from the buzzing machine was a winner at the Nav Centre on Saturday.
Telus Cornwall collected $1,800 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation (the phone company’s charity of choice) at a bingo night, complete with bake sale and 50/50 draw.
In addition to providing three volunteers, Scotiabank Cornwall is generously matching their funds, which pushes the final tally to $3,600.
“It’s very exciting to know we beat our target goal of $1,500 – as a reward one representative is going to be able to propel down to the Marriott Hotel in Ottawa,” said Ashley Lepage, store manager at Telus.
All proceeds from the event will help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
