Patrons were encouraged to dress up in their best 50s get-up. There were choice of floats for guests, diner food and bowling bingo and a live DJ.

The sport of bowling has changed over the past 65 years. Jocelynn Wheeler, manager at Nativité Bowl said that back in the day, the alley would run three leagues throughout the day, and that while they were down to two, they were seeing more golfers take up the sport in their off season.

When Nativité first opened in 1954, there were eight lanes and three pool tables. The pool tables are gone now, but they have expanded to 12 lanes.

Wheeler explained that Nativité Bowling has been in the same location for their whole existence, and that the building was needing a little TLC.

Money was being raised during their 65th anniversary celebration to help with some needed with renovations to the building.
