CORNWALL, Ontario – Shawn MacNeill, 51, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 and charged with uttering threats, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assault with a weapon. It is alleged in December of 2018, the man made threats to kill someone known to him while pointing a handgun at the individual. On Nov. 13, 2019, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – David Rafter, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on October 30th for a breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 13, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged while in custody at the courthouse for an unrelated matter on Nov. 7, the youth damaged a sprinkler and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 13, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the youth was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 and charged with six counts of breach of probation and three counts of breach of recognizance. It is alleged on Nov. 13, the woman was within a certain distance of her boyfriend, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, it was learned the woman had also failed to notify police and probation of a change of address, and had failed to keep the peace. She was taken into custody on Nov. 13, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Thomas Quinn, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on November 5th, 2019 for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 13, 2019, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2019.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Linzey Brownell, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 13, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on October 7th, 2019 for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 13, 2019, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
