THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 24th, 2023 and charged with five counts of uttering threats. It Is alleged between March 20-21, 2023, the man made multiple threats to kill his girlfriend, her family and to damage her house and vehicles. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 24th, 2023, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Male, 35, of Cornwall was arrested on March 24th, 2023 and charged with breach of undertaking for attending the courthouse for reasons other than a court appearance. It is alleged on March 24th, 2023, the man attended the Cornwall Courthouse, despite having conditions to not attend. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Female, 32, of Almont, ON was arrested on March 24th, 2023 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on March 18th, 2023, as well as on March 24th, 2023, the woman attended two local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise and she left the stores. On March 24th, 2023, a Loss Prevention Officer took the woman into custody and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 4th, 2023.

WARRANT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Male, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on March 26th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with breach of release order for failing to report to the Cornwall Police Service. It is alleged on March 8th, 2023, the man had failed to report to the Cornwall Police Service as per his conditions. It is further alleged on March 9th, 2023, the man failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 26th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – A 64-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 26th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on February 10th, 2023, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. It is further alleged on February 21st, 2023, the man failed to attend court for a domestic assault offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 26th, 2023, he was taken into custody and the warrant was executed. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 4th, 2023. His name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.
