Cornwall Fire Services remains on the scene of a fire earlier today in the 2000 block of Pitt St.
There were no human injuries. Firefighters treated a dog for smoke inhalation on scene before the owner took it to a veterinarian. Sadly, two cats did not survive.
Twelve firefighters responded, with six additional off-duty firefighters called in to ensure citywide coverage.
