SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – Upholding holiday tradition, the Ingleside Firefighter’s Association held its annual Christmas tree lighting celebrations on Saturday, Nov. 30, drawing a large crowd of cheery community members.

To kick off the season, friends and family members enjoyed the ceremonial countdown to the tree lighting, sleigh rides, and cookies and hot chocolate provided by Ingleside Foodland.

The Association contributed to providing sleigh rides to community members, as well as small toys for children in attendance. Children also had the opportunity to bring Santa their wish list and get a photograph together.

“We had an amazing turn out for our annual Ingleside Tree Lighting event! Over 200 people attended this year; it’s always a great way to kick-off the holiday season,” said Zach Gingras, an Ingleside Firefighter’s Association Member.

Non-perishable food item donations were collected for the Osnabruck Food Drive.
