Man assaults three, strikes residence with stolen vehicle

CORNWALL, Ontario – Noah King, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on Monday, Dec. 30 2019 and charged with the following:

*        Assault x 2

*        Assault police

*        Assault with intent to resist arrest

*        Dangerous operation

*        Operation while impaired

*        Failure to stop after accident

*        Operation while prohibited

*        Theft of motor vehicle

*        Robbery with violence

*        Mischief under $5000

*        Breach of probation x 3 (for consuming drugs, alcohol and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged during the early morning hours on Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, while impaired, the man took a motor vehicle from someone he did not know, assaulted the owner of the vehicle, and operated the vehicle in a dangerous manner.

The vehicle subsequently struck a Water Street residence, where the man exited the vehicle and assaulted a woman he did not know in attempt to take her motor vehicle.

Police attended and took the man into custody after a brief foot chase, at which time the man assaulted a police officer and damaged a police vehicle. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.
