LONG SAULT, Ontario – Around 50 people setup lawn chairs at The Lost Villages Museum to have a burger and a chat with MPP Jim McDonell at the annual riding barbecue on Sunday, July 28.

“I love having this event, it is a nice quiet place that we can all just have some informal conversation and enjoy some food,” said McDonell, as he stopped to chat with the attendees. “We don’t always get to have a chance to exchange words in a casual environment, so this is a good place for that.”

The Lost Villages Museum was an ideal venue, according to McDonell, describing it as a particularly beautiful and local spot that attracted community members of all ages.

“It is great to see all of these people come out and enjoy the day,” said McDonell.

Aside from the barbecue this term can be categorized as “busy” according to McDonell.

“This term has been busy for sure, but busy is good. I think that the ministers we have with us are good, and we have a lot of work to do ahead of us,” he said.
