The 11th annual Peanut Butter Challenge is underway, with Royal LePage Performance Realty leading the charge to support the Agape Centre. This year, the community-wide fundraiser aims to collect 5,000 jars of peanut butter for families in need.
“Peanut butter is the most popular item in our Community Market and the most expensive to purchase,” explained Lisa Duprau, Executive Director at the Agape Centre. “With Foodbank visits at unprecedented numbers, this initiative keeps our shelves stocked for families in need of food support. Over the years, this event has picked up steam and is now a community-wide challenge to see who will collect the most jars and be crowned Peanut Butter Champion.”
Jen Blair Manley, a realtor at Royal LePage Performance Realty, shared the significance of the drive, which has gathered over 10,000 jars since its inception. “The Royal LePage Performance Realty Peanut Butter Drive for the Agape Centre is in its 11th year,” said Manley. “My Dreamteam, along with Joanne Lecompte, who spearheads this fundraiser, challenges other agents, businesses, and community members to bring their jars of ‘PB’ to our office at 722 Pitt Street, Unit 111.”
