Seaway News recognized at OCNA

On April 5, Seaway News General Manager Rick Shaver was recognized for his 19 years as a board member of the Ontario Newspaper Association and for his six years on the Canadian board. Shaver, who has been working in the newspaper industry for over 41 year was honored to have his longtime friend, board member and VP of News Media Canada Abbas Homayed make the presentation. Shaver also picked up while at the conference two awards won by Seaway News, 1st place for Best Use of Color in a local ad and a 3rd place award for Best Editorial Cartoon (James Lapierre).
