Knox-St. Paul’s United Church was bustling on Saturday, November 16, 2024, with the return of the Winter Wonderland Craft & Art Show. The event featured two floors of vendors offering various handmade goods, from jewelry to home décor, perfect for holiday shopping. Attendees also had the chance to win one of two raffle basket prizes and support the Agape Community Kitchen by donating non-perishable goods.
The event, organized by the United Church Women group, was designed to uplift local artisans and small vendors. Kim Baird, Chair of the United Church Women, explained the motivation behind the show: “We hold two events a year, in the spring and fall, to support local and smaller vendors who might not otherwise have opportunities to showcase their work. This one is our winter event, and it’s always wonderful to see the community come out, support the church, and enjoy the positive atmosphere.”
Among the participants was Susan Huntington, a crafter selling handmade Christmas cards. She shared what makes her cards special for the season: “Bright colors, cardinals, and Santas are always popular. Anything cheerful and festive really makes a Christmas card stand out.”
The Winter Wonderland Craft & Art Show showcased local artisans, offering shoppers the chance to buy local for their Christmas gifts.
