Stabbing on Louisa St.

CORNWALL, Ontario – One 25-year-old man is in custody after a stabbing took place on Louisa St. on Thursday, May 23.

Stephanie MacRae of the Cornwall Police Service (CPS) states that officers received a call about a weapons complaint at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Upon arriving at the Louisa St. address, police found that the 25-year-old suspect had attacked a man known to him with an edged weapon.

The victim was sent to hospital with serious injuries, and the suspect was taken into custody.

MacRae stated to Seaway News that the investigation is in its early stages and that more information about the arrest will be released as the investigation moves forward.
