Summer Intern Spotlight

(The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is proud to provide employment opportunities for high school and college students through the Department of Education’s Summer Youth and Career Internship Employment Program. To help report on this initiative, we are proud to share the following summer student spotlight, which reports on internships in areas specific to the student’s chosen career path.)

Dylan Lazore (he/him), age 20, is currently attending St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY, where he studies both sports management and finance. He is an active member of Athlete to Athlete, a club that provides student athletes with peer support and mental health resources. Dylan aspires to travel and work with sports teams budgeting their finances and salaries.

He describes himself as someone who is respectful and hardworking, and always trying to make people laugh. He plays on the university’s football team and enjoys working out to stay in shape. In his free time, Dylan likes playing Xbox games such as Rocket League and Madden NFL and listening to music, with Tyler the Creator being his favorite artist.

Dylan has returned to the SRMT’s Human Resources department for the summer, having interned there just last year. His job duties include screening applications during the hiring process, assisting with payroll and benefits, and other pre-employment processes such as drug tests and background checks.
