Cornwall, ON – Sydney Taylor-Lauzon, 18, of Williamstown was arrested on Tuesday, March 26 and charged with the following:
• Theft under $5000 x 3
• Fraud under $5000
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation x 12 (for attending a certain business, failing to keep the peace and possessing alcohol)
It is alleged between February 21 and March 8, 2019, the woman attended a Brookdale Ave. business on two occasions, as well as a Second St. East business, despite her conditions, and removed bottles of alcohol, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the stores.
It is further alleged on March 7, the woman attempted to deposit a stolen cheque into her bank account and police were contacted. On March 26 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on April 26th, 2019.
