What’s open and what’s closed in Cornwall Easter Weekend

CORNWALL, Ontario – Easter Weekend will disrupt certain services and businesses in the City of Cornwall. The following is a list of what is open and what is closed.

Municipal Services:

Cornwall Transit will not be operating on Friday, April 19. There will be regular bus service on Monday, April 22. The Transit office will remain closed from Friday to Monday.

Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed for residents whose waste is typically collected Fridays. Friday collection will be pushed to Saturday. Collection will not be affected by Easter Monday.

The landfill at 2590 Cornwall Centre Rd. will be closed on Friday, April 19, and open on Monday, April 22.

Municipal Works is accessible 24/7 by calling 613-932-5354.

The Aquatic Centre will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Sunday, April 21, but will be open on Saturday and Monday.

The Cornwall Public Library will be closed on April 19, 21, and 22. The library will be open on Saturday, April 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Benson Centre will be open all weekend.

The Cornwall Civic Complex will be open to walkers, but the offices will be closed.

Local businesses:

The Beer Stores will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

The LCBO on Second St. will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. The LCBO on Brookdale Ave. will be open on Easter Monday.

Food Basics will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

The Cornwall Square will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
