LCBO recalls Georgian Bay Vodka
Georgian Bay Vodka is being recalled by the LCBO.

CORNWALL, Ontario – On Thursday, Mar. 2, the LCBO issued a recall on Georgian Bay Vodka. Further discussion with the Georgian Bay Gin Company revealed that the alcohol content listed on the product’s label does not accurately represent the product’s actual alcohol content.

The product has since been removed from all LCBO shelves across Ontario.

During production, one batch (Batch #19) was bottled prior to correct dilution; essential to achieving the specified 40% alcohol content. Consequently, the affected batch has alcohol content by volume of 81%. The recall was implemented following this discovery.

654 selling units of Batch #19 were produced and shipped to LCBO.

With an alcohol content over 80%, consuming the product could cause serious illness. Public is being warned not to consume the product.

Customers and licensees are being urged to return the recalled product to any LCBO store for a full refund.
