CORNWALL, Ontario – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 19, 2017 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm and overcome resistance (choking).
It is alleged between 2013 and 2014 the man assaulted, choked and struck his common-law wife with a stick. It is also alleged during one of the incidents the woman suffered a broken tooth. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
