NORTH STORMONT, Ontario – On July 20, 2019 at approximately 4:37 a.m. Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision on County Rd. 43 between County Rd. 20 and Pigeon Hill Rd. in North Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Rd. 43 when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and entered the ditch causing it to roll over.
On Oct. 20, 2019 the driver Kevin Gent, 25, of South Glengarry, ON was arrested and charged with;
– Operation causing Death
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 28, 2019 in Cornwall.
The adult female passenger Logan Sunday, 18, of South Glengarry, ON of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
