Agape Centre gets a healthy boost

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Agape Centre’s food bank has an additional two months of potatoes and carrots, thanks to the generosity of Peter Ross Auction Services Ltd.

The Cornwall-based business and a long-time supporter of the non-profit organization made a $2,000 donation to the centre on Tuesday (Jan. 26).

“Contributions like this help to keep our food bank filled with fresh foods,” said Alyssa Blais, Agape executive director.

The food bank supports more than 1,000 people every month, and 40 per cent of those served are children, while the soup kitchen serves over 3,000 meals a month.
