CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police Service have arrested a 53-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman on charges of Identity Theft and Fraud.
The police did not release the identity of the accused to protect the identity of their victim.
It is alleged that the pair used the identiy of a family member to receive Employment Insurance benefits from the Government of Canada between November 2014 and August 2015.
The man was charged with Identity Theft and 20 counts of Fraud Under $5000. The woman was charged with Identity Theft and 13 counts of Fraud Under $5000.
