CORNWALL, Ontario – A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 14, 2017 and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief.

It is alleged during an argument on June 14, 2017 the woman threw a pop can at her husband and damaged property in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5, 000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Susan Chiefari, 35, of Morrisburg was arrested on June 14, 2017 and charged with theft under $5, 000 and breach of probation for being in a certain store despite her conditions. On June 14, 2017 the woman attended a local business and removed several items making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 16, 2017.

WARRANT, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – James Savidge, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on June 14, 2017 on the strength of warrant and charged with breach of undertaking for being out past curfew. He was also charged with breach of undertaking and probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 14, 2017 the man was in breach of his conditions when he was spotted by police in the area of Milleville Street. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
