SOUTH STORMONT – SD&G OPP have arrested two men in connection with an attempted break and enter that occurred early Tuesday morning at a Lunenburg convenience store.

Provincial police received a tip at roughly 1:31 a.m. on October 13 of a suspicious person at Krazy Dan’s Convenience Store on County Road 18.

An investigation revealed that force was used during a failed break-in at the South Stormont business.

SD&G OPP officers arrested two Cornwall men a short distance away from the scene.

Denis Bedard, 29, was charged with attempt to commit indictable offence, break and enter, and possession of break in instruments.

Shawn Hesse, 37, was charged with attempt to commit indictable offence, break and enter, and possession of break in instruments, trespass at night, fail to comply with conditions of an recognizance (two counts), and fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking (two counts).

Both suspects were held in custody pending an appearance in a Cornwall court.
