BORDER BLUES: City woman arrested by state police for possessing marijuana

CORNWALL, Ontario – A Cornwall woman was detained by U.S. border officers after having been found with a small quantity of marijuana.

The Watertown Daily Times reported the was turned over to the New York State police on Friday after the marijuana was found during a so-called secondary inspection at the border crossing near Cornwall.

Chantal Lecours, 22, faces a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.

The woman posted $200 bail and was released from custody.

 The incident took place at around 7:45 a.m. Friday.
