Bridge demo work expands into Cornwall Harbour
Cornwall bridge removal in full swing on Thursday (July 4

CORNWALL, Ontario – Access remains open to nearby roadways and the recreational path as large equipment used for the deconstruction of the Seaway International Bridge arrives at the Cornwall Harbour this weekend.

American Bridge workers will be using the Transport Canada Harbour facility off Harbour Road by the Cotton Mill District until the end of September, according to a media statement issued by the City of Cornwall on Friday (June 12).

Portable fencing has been erected at the temporary work area located on the eastern portion of the harbour, south of the warehousing building.

The City of Cornwall stated it’s not directly involved in this project, and that over its roughly three-month period, the waterfront trail and the roadway north of the warehouse will not be affected.
