WILLIAMSBURG, Ontario – Over 40 participants attended the Habitat for Humanity Cornwall & the Counties 2018 Build Like a Girl event on Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28. The two-day home build raised a total of $3,500. 

Individuals and teams raised pledges of $50 minimum. Tracy McMillan won top individual fundraiser, bringing in $810. The top team, comprised of Carrie Paquin, Karen McGregor, Karen Quigley, Claira Bastien and Janet St. Pierre raised $1185.

Funds raised will go towards more home builds.

The Beatty-Pinard family, who will purchase the home from Habitat for Humanity upon completion were on site to assist and thank all participants.

The Habitat for Humanity relies on community help, donations, sponsorships and partnerships for funding. The organization has build 12 homes in Cornwall and SDG since 1998.
