Celebrity Chopped BBQ Fundraiser for Maison Baldwin House
Maison Baldwin House's Celebrity Chopped BBQ Fundraiser will challenge chefs to produce meals from food often donated to the shelter.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Maison Baldwin House is proud to present their first annual “Celebrity Chopped BBQ Fundraiser”. Guests will watch 6 local celebrities go head to head in the ultimate BBQ cooking competition. . Based on the hit TV Show “Chopped”, contestants will compete to BBQ the best three (app, entrée and dessert) dishes to avoid being ‘chopped’ from the competition! The twist – each contestant will have to incorporate a “Mystery Ingredient” that will be revealed at the beginning of each round! The “Mystery Ingredient” will be a food item that is commonly donated to the Maison Baldwin House’s pantry. The Celebrity Chefs will be judged by 4 local well known Chefs to determine the winner of the competition!

This exciting fundraising event will be held Friday, Sep. 9 at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club where the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets at $50 and are available at Royal LePage Performance Realty office at 722 Pitt Street, Cornwall or online through the Facebook Event Page titled: Celebrity Chopped BBQ Fundraiser. In addition to the BBQ competition, there will be a Silent Auction and a chance to win a Traeger BBQ of your own!

Maison Baldwin House is an emergency shelter that has provided a safe haven for women and their children who are leaving domestic violence in the City of Cornwall for the past 35 years. The funds raised by this event will be used for ensuring that we can continue to support the women and children in our community to start over with a renewed family life and helping them achieve their full human potential.
