CORNWALL, Ontario – A man, fresh off punching out a teenager, according to city police, was also brandishing a knife and packing a hand-held BB gun during an attack on Cornwall’s waterfront.
The scuffle between the 26-year-old Cornwall man and a 17-year-old youth happened near Park Street Monday, August 25.
Police located the man at a Montreal Road address on August 27. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Eric Perkins faces charges of assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, breach of probation for being in an area that he has conditions to avoid, and for failing to keep the peace.
He was later released to appear in court on October 2.
‘Spitting image of a troublemaker’
Police said a 47-year-old Cornwall woman slugged her 65-year-old ex-husband in the mouth on August 27. The punch was so vicious he required medical attention.
While police had her in custody, the woman spat on a special constable at the courthouse.
She was charged with assault causing bodily harm and assaulting police. The woman was held in custody for a bail hearing.
‘Old crime, new charge’
A 33-year-old St-Andrews woman was arrested Wednesday for a crime she allegedly committed in Cornwall, back in 2012.
Police say during an argument she accelerated her car towards her 43-year-old ex-husband in a dangerous manner.
On August 27, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter.
She was taken into custody and later released to appear in court on October 7.
‘Unlawful rendez-vous’
A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested for meeting his 46-year-old ex-girlfriend at Lamoureux Park Tuesday despite his conditions to stay away from her.
On Wednesday, the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, and charged with breach of undertaking for having communicated with his ex and for failing to keep the peace.
He was held for a bail hearing.
