CORNWALL, Ontario – A man who stole from a Cornwall store was later found to be in possession of a weapon and drugs.
Police said Monday the man left a Ninth Street store on Jan. 2 after grabbing some merchandise without making an attempt to pay for it.
The man was stopped by security before police arrived and found the man also had some marijuana, as well as a knife.
Travis Moore, 23, of Cornwall was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and for being in possession of a controlled substance.
He was held for a bail hearing.
