CORNWALL, Ontario – A Cornwall man has been nabbed along with 79 others across the province in a massive child pornography bust.
Jean Guy Beauvais, 39, was among 80 arrested by police this week in connection with an online child exploitation case.
He faces charged os accessing and possessing child pornography.
A total of 174 search warrants were executed across Ontario during the past two days, resulting in 274 charges.
Sexual assault, possession of child pornography, making available child pornography, distribution of child pornography, making child pornography, and accessing child pornography were among the charges laid.
A co-ordinated investigation involving the provincial strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the Internet resulted in the charges.
Beauvais has already made a court appearance.
Some 20 victims were identified during the investigation and referred to appropriate community-based resources for help.
