Cornwall man can’t run from the long arm of the law

CORNWALL, Ontario – A Cornwall man nabbed for impaired driving tried to run from the police – only to find himself in more hot water.

Police said a man fled from the scene of a traffic stop Friday near the corner of Cumberland and Second streets in Cornwall. The chase didn’t last long, and the man was corralled and arrested after a short foot pursuit.

The man also refused to provide a sample of his breath to police. He was transported to police headquarters and while at the station pushed two separate officers and threatened to shoot three officers.

Troy Ullman, 26 of Cornwall was charged with fail to provide breath sample, obstruct police, two counts assault police, three counts of threats to life and breach of undertaking for consuming alcohol and breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace.

He was  held for a bail hearing.
