Cornwall man flees police and steals vehicle in same month

CORNWALL, Ontario – John Bazil, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on May 30, 2018 and charged with take motor vehicle without consent, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.

It is alleged on May 16, 2018 the man fled from police in a dangerous manner on a motor cycle and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on May 30, 2018 the man took someone’s vehicle without permission and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigations the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Jenna Cole, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on May 30, 2018 and charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 14, 2018 the woman entered a Brookdale Ave. store and removed a quantity of alcohol making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 30, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28, 2018.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Kristen Duperron, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on May 30, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on April 26, 2018 for fraud related charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 30, 2018 the woman was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 3, 2018.
