CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS) was warning the public on Tuesday afternoon about potential purse snatchers in the area.
“Today we’ve been receiving numerous reports of “purse-snatching,”” a tweet from the CCPS Twitter account reads. “With the holiday season here, please be mindful when shopping to keep your belongings safe and secure. Do not leave purses or wallets unattended. This includes leaving them on a seat or in your shopping cart.”
Stephanie MacRae, Communications officer for the CCPS told Seaway News that there had been two separate reports of purse-snatching on Tuesday, Dec. 18, but as of that time, no arrests had been made in relation to the incidents.
