CORNWALL, Ontario – David Rafter, 27 and Sara Bender, 30, both of Cornwall were arrested on Dec. 18, 2018.
Rafter was charged with cause disturbance and breach of probation, Bender was charged with assault police and breach of probation. On Dec. 18, 2018 while investigating an unrelated matter it’s alleged Rafter caused a disturbance and was taken into custody. During this time Bender attempted to intervene and assaulted an officer. Both were charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2019.
