CORNWALL – A well-known lobbying group has been hired to advocate for long-term care home funding in SDG Counties.
Daisy Group, founded by political strategist Warren Kinsella, will lobby on behalf of the Counties to get funding for expansions at Dundas Manor in Winchester, and Maxville Manor in Maxville. SDG council has set aside $6.5 million towards the capital project.
“We went to all those dog and pony shows at AMO and ORGA,” Councillor Jamie MacDonald (North Glengarry) explained. “What the Daisy Group did for us was get us into offices for two hour meetings. He put us in the room with the right people This is what they do. I think it is worthwhile.”
Daisy Group was hired by North Glengarry to lobby for provincial funding of its water system expansion in 2017.
