Development will see dozens of new homes built

CORNWALL, Ontario – Work is now underway on a new subdivision development near the intersection of McConnell Avenue and Eleventh Street.

Clément Court will feature 48 townhomes and semis on the west side of McConnell Avenue.

Crews from Malyon Excavation are now working on the roadway and underground services, and that work is expected to be completed within the next couple of months. Mike Gervais, Head of Business Development for C.H. Clément Construction, said officials expect to have the foundations in the ground for the first units this November.

“The build out has begun and we are very excited about this development,” said Gervais. “We believe it will be extremely attractive to potential buyers given its proximity to the business park, hospital and other amenities.  These homes are geared towards first-time home buyers are a great value as they are affordable and of good quality”.

Clément Court is the latest in a series of residential developments that C.H. Clément Construction has undertaken in Cornwall. The company has also undertaken projects on First Street West (just west of Pitt Street), Fourth Street East and the corner of York and Third Streets.

The company is also in the midst of completing a new residential project on the former Si Miller Arena site in Downtown Cornwall. Promenade Miller will feature an enclave of 30 condos just off of First Street East, within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants in Downtown Cornwall.

“I want to thank C.H. Clément Construction for their continued confidence in Cornwall as demonstrated by these new developments,” said Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy.
